Once again why are you proud?...


….Next time when someone wants to degrade you or bring you down remember there is nothing unique or different about them. 

Do not let anyone intimidate you just because they have so much money and you do not, granted with money one gets economic power but that is not a big deal in this life. God has configured this world that we are all equal and we need one another. Think about the richest man or woman on this earth, are they any different than you No. they do not have golden penises or vaginas, they breathe in the same oxygen you do which goes in and comes out as carbon dioxide just like you, they get a bowel movement just like you. I think the only difference is that they have expensive toys than you. For example when they go for a bowel movement they can sit on a golden toilet and while you, use a pit latrine. The point is the waste will come out at some point and both of you will get relieved.

Why do people brag and treat others like they are lesser human beings, what would make someone so puffed up with pride and arrogance to treat another person with so much contempt? If it is money that makes someone feel so big, at some point that money may not help in times of need. Imagine you the great rich person falls sick, you cannot speak nor write and you being the paranoid rich person only you who has the bank account’s pin number, your Mpesa pin number, how will all your wealth help you. My advice: be humble in such an incident it is my okoa jahazi that will save you.

I still cannot understand what the hullabaloo is all about with the condom advert. My view, that advert makes a lot of sense. The makers of the advert are realistic and admitting that married people are having illicit sex or enjoying the forbidden fruits outside of their matrimonial homes. What I construed from the advert is that the woman is not having her nocturnal exercises at home and hence her need to keep a side dish to provide  those essential services. Am sure there are many valid reasons in homes that are driving couples to leave their matrimonial beds. We need to know why respectable men/women feel the need to quench their thirst away from home. Luo is a Romantic Language…

In my short or long stay on this earth I have had the privilege of interacting with many of the languages spoken in Kenya and one dialect I would say has stood out and I have come to love is the Luo dialect. The dialect according to me is very romantic; it should actually be classified among the others of the world which are regarded as romantic. The way their words flow, as they speak, one has no option but to enjoy listening. This is a language, firstly the words rhyme so well with English language; secondly a word can be used in so many instances until one gets confused. Take for example the now common words ‘ Gini Wesikawo ” when these words were spoken by supporters of one team who were shouting to the supporters of the opposing team, even before a football match was over that they have taken the trophy the same words have now evolved or transformed until they are featuring in adverts as a way of bidding us goodbye. Masaku sevens ….I hear it was a show to behold….

I have really been thinking a lot about what I hear happened during Masaku 7’s. And mind you though being in Machakos on that day I got home early before all the free live movies started. So I just heard just like some of you. No wonder people say free things are not good. In one way or the other let us be glad it happened now in broad day light the last time Masaku sevens was in Machakos the young people were discreet they did their mating in the darkness where their parents could not see them and the consequences of what happened at night were visible the following morning with the littering of their implements of trade.
