We are all Prostitutes…
‘We are all selling our bodies for money’,
the wisdom of a Commercial Sex Worker (CSW), quoted by my lecturer in class. Before
we reflect, we have to first, come out of our self-righteous cocoons. Another
lecturer told us point blank, the reason we are all class pursuing our degrees
was because of money. And this seemed to offend some colleagues in class who
were on their way to heaven by faith and who subscribed to the idea that money
is the root of all evil. Anyway, it is all for the money and if God is gracious
to you and gives you a job that you enjoy doing, you get a double portion blessing
of job satisfaction and the money.
Now that we are in agreement, it’s all courtesy
of the money then the CSW would be right in her observation that we are all
selling our bodies for money. In buying and selling there is exchange of goods
and services for money. The reason we go to school and continue to further in
our studies is so that we can get a good job and get a good salary and if you
are investing the money, the money works for you. When we get paid, we are paid
because we use our brains to get results. Others use their hands to build
things or farm, others use their legs to run and others use their private parts.
To make the same money, it all depends on the parts that one is comfortable
using.
Once again, why do you wake up early in
the morning and go to bed late. You do not even have time for your kids…I
cannot hear... please speaker louder…
So I ask, if what you are doing is not
selling yourself, why is what you are doing the best and what a prostitute is
doing evil. Actually I think what the prostitute is doing is healthier than
what you are doing. According to the benefits of sex that are out there in the
public domain sex seems to be the best job, for example; the trade of sex involves
relaxation; Sex reduces the possibilities of suffering from dermatitis and acne,
the sweat produced cleans pores and makes the skin shine, sex allows burning of
calories, sex is one of the safest sports, it strengthens all body muscles, sex
is the safest tranquilizer in the world, more efficient than valium, sex
relieves headaches, each time you make love, it releases the tension in brain
veins, sex is a natural antihistaminic and it opens a nasal congestion. And the list goes on…
Let’s
look at what your work is doing to you. You are not getting enough sleep, you
probably have bad eating habits because your schedule is so tight you cannot
get enough time to have a good meal and maybe when you get time to eat you do not
enjoy the meal because you are on the run, you probably do not even get time to
visit the gym. So my busy friends, when does your heart get to race or beat
fast as recommended by the doctors and when do you get to burn you calories. When
do your sweat glands open up? When do you get to strengthen all your bodies’ muscles?
I hope you are not on valiums, as you criticize the way other healthy people
make their money.
