Dude Ask Her and let's all move on…

In the movie Notting Hill Julia Roberts says “am also a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her…”

Okay, I appreciate what is said that men have fragile egos and fear rejection but seriously who doesn’t?  That is not a male issue it is a humanity thing. Why sit back and watch the love of your life going with someone else, just because you fear the unknown.

Besides, what is the worst that could happen she will say no, so what? if she does that will not deplete you oxygen, you will not die, you will not be the first person to be rejected neither will you will be the last, these things happen, it most probably happened to your dad and it will also happen to your son. But chances are that she will say yes.

Sometimes we let very irrelevant things stand on our way. So what if she comes from a rich family or she is so economically empowered the bottom line is she is still a girl who is waiting for a boy love her. In all that preparation do not forget to tell God to instruct your tongue, order your steps and also to calm her down if she looks like a violent lioness that can pounce on you and tear you into pieces if you even attempt to make contact, you will be surprised at what happens when God is in the equation. All it takes is a silent prayer to God and you will always have a testimony of his goodness.

Another benefit of asking her is so that you can overcome the what if question. If the girl rejects you simply move on or you can give it sometime maybe she is playing hard to get and will come around but if that does not happen, you simply say like wamabuku (the hare) when unable to reach the mangoes in the tree decided they did not look sweet or ripe enough anyway.

She is just a girl waiting for you to love her…

I still cannot understand what the hullabaloo is all about with the condom advert. My view, that advert makes a lot of sense. The makers of the advert are realistic and admitting that married people are having illicit sex or enjoying the forbidden fruits outside of their matrimonial homes. Luo is a Romantic Language…

In my short or long stay on this earth I have had the privilege of interacting with many of the languages spoken in Kenya and one dialect I would say has stood out and I have come to love is the Luo dialect. The dialect according to me is very romantic; it should actually be classified among the others of the world which are regarded as romantic. The way their words flow, as they speak, one has no option but to enjoy listening. This is a language, firstly the words rhyme so well with English language; secondly a word can be used in so many instances until one gets confused. Masaku sevens ….I hear it was a show to behold….

I have really been thinking a lot about what I hear happened during Masaku 7’s. And mind you though being in Machakos on that day I got home early before all the free live movies started. So I just heard just like some of you. No wonder people say free things are not good. In one way or the other let us be glad it happened now in broad day light the last time Masaku sevens was in Machakos the young people were discreet they did their mating in the darkness where their parents could not see them and the consequences of what happened at night were visible the following morning with the littering of their implements of trade.
