Nobody can be that busy…



When someone tells me that they are so busy, I make faces and go like yeah right! Am not impressed. I do not believe someone can be so busy to an extent that they do not have time for their loved ones. You see if you do not create time for your children because of your busy schedule other people or other things will fill that vacuum you have created.

I always wonder in your tight schedule where you get time to visit the toilet or even take a shower. When you are seated on that toilet seat do you count how many minutes you have spent doing your thing.

Exactly what are you so busy doing? Are you telling me that you are indispensable at your place of work, if you kick the bucket today you mean that job or ministry you are doing will cease to be. You fail to create time for your own personal life or your family because you are busy. You cannot even let someone love you, get serious!

Ecclesiastes says that in this world nothing changes “…life is useless, all useless, you spend your life working, laboring and what do you have to show for it? Generations come and generations go, but the world stays just the same” Eccl 1:2-3.

What I do not understand with human beings is, they ask God to give them someone to love  and when God answers your prayer you let that special someone to slip from you because you want to love them in your own terms forgetting they also have feelings and they will not wait for you to clear your calendar and love them back.

I believe even in your busy schedule you can create time for your loved ones. It is unwise to say that you will give them quality time during the vacation. The vacation you may be banking on your partner might also get busy, get transferred or decide to go back to school and hence no time for you.

Life is too short start creating time for your loved ones, if you are far away from each other talk on the phone, send Sms, chat on Facebook, start sharing your day to day experiences have something that you will build on when God allows you to finally meet.

Good people treasure what God has given you...

I still cannot understand what the hullabaloo is all about with the condom advert. My view, that advert makes a lot of sense. The makers of the advert are realistic and admitting that married people are having illicit sex or enjoying the forbidden fruits outside of their matrimonial homes. What I construed from the advert is that the woman is not having her nocturnal exercises at home and hence her need to keep a side dish to provide  those essential services. Luo is a Romantic Language…

In my short or long stay on this earth I have had the privilege of interacting with many of the languages spoken in Kenya and one dialect I would say has stood out and I have come to love is the Luo dialect. The dialect according to me is very romantic; it should actually be classified among the others of the world which are regarded as romantic. The way their words flow, as they speak, one has no option but to enjoy listening. This is a language, firstly the words rhyme so well with English language; secondly a word can be used in so many instances until one gets confused. Take for example the now common words ‘ Gini Wesikawo ” when these words were spoken by supporters of one team who were shouting to the supporters of the opposing team, even before a football match was over that they have taken the trophy the same words have now evolved or transformed until they are featuring in adverts as a way of bidding us goodbye. Masaku sevens ….I hear it was a show to behold….

I have really been thinking a lot about what I hear happened during Masaku 7’s. And mind you though being in Machakos on that day I got home early before all the free live movies started. So I just heard just like some of you. No wonder people say free things are not good. In one way or the other let us be glad it happened now in broad day light the last time Masaku sevens was in Machakos the young people were discreet they did their mating in the darkness where their parents could not see them and the consequences of what happened at night were visible the following morning with the littering of their implements of trade.
